More great holiday fun on the very small stage of The Dark Room in San Francisco’s Merry Mission district: “Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!” not to be missed! via oftenon:
Hey, uh, do you guys like kid-friendly Christmas plays featuring characters wearing handmade dresses (pink dress by yours truly)? Then come see Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! playing at the Dark Room Theater at 8pm for the next two weekends.
Note: Lucy’s eyes are luminous on stage, but not in the same way as in this photo.

Just in case you hadn’t heard The Princess Bride Live, the ridiculously successful small theater show that I’m in in San Francisco right now, added 3 performances. Thursday-Saturday on Labor Day weekend.
All advance tickets are ALREADY sold out for the 3 added performances (as well as this weekend’s 3 shows which were in the original run). But you can queue up like an hour before the show as there will always be a few seats night of. But there’s a lot of people lining up for those. Get there early. No, earlier than that, if you want to get in.
If have tickets sit as close to the stage as you can cuz… it’s more fun there.

Two weeks left to see the latest theatrical awesomeness from The Dark Room Theater! Their encore production of “Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” re-stages one of the first films Jim and team turned into a play years ago.
Only 6 performances to go, including tonight. Thursday-Saturday this week and next. You can get tickets here because I”m sure many of the performances will sell out. I can’t wait to see it, I know it’ll be hilarious.
This show has a powerhouse cast of folks who’ve appeared in Dark Room shows like Beetlejuice, Star Trek, Caddyshack, Breakfast Fight Club, Young Frankenstein, Life of Brian… so many great performers, and all pals of mine.
Dr. Strangelove: LIVE, adapted and directed by Jim Fourniadis. Starring Tim Kay, Andy Wenger, Dan Foley, Peter Illes, Adam Curry, Becky Hirschfeld, Damien Chacona, Craig Souza, Alexia Staniotes and Sean Kelly as the Doctor.
Not to be missed! More details here.

Remember that show that I was in last month turning Attaboy’s book “You Might Be A Monster” into a stage performance? There’s a video of the whole thing online now. An all-star local cast in full effect performing this charming, imaginative, and FUNNY work. Really good stuff.
The opening act (local legend Blinky “the rock god”) runs a little long—the main show starts at 8:30 or so.
