More great holiday fun on the very small stage of The Dark Room in San Francisco’s Merry Mission district: “Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!” not to be missed! via oftenon:
Hey, uh, do you guys like kid-friendly Christmas plays featuring characters wearing handmade dresses (pink dress by yours truly)? Then come see Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! playing at the Dark Room Theater at 8pm for the next two weekends.
Note: Lucy’s eyes are luminous on stage, but not in the same way as in this photo.

My latest post on laughingsquid is about Long Now’s new salon/bar project. I’ve actually been helping out some on this project and have a lot of friends involved. Biased as hell in fact, but then it’s easy when the concept, mission, design and alcohol are all top notch. Check out the post, I got to share some fantastic new interview footage about the redesign by Because We Can and the special spirits being made by St George Spirits.
The Long Now Foundation Salon Redesign and Limited Edition Spirits
I’ll share another interview video here that’s not in the post. Dave from St George, as he grinds coriander for Long Now’s gin, talk about an artistic approach to distilling and the historical importance of spirits to people around the world.

Architectural clocks were a bit of a theme this week as I was hanging out with some of the UX/Untergunther crew who were in town to speak at Long Now.
They restored an historic clock in Paris without permission and without being detected. Some friends and I had the pleasure of sharing a few Bay Area activities and locations that matched their particular interests including the roof of another area clock tower.
I’ve been up to the top of this tower, too, years ago. Photo of San Francisco Ferry Building clock tower lit up via webuiltthiscity.

A few photos I took earlier this year at Creator’s Project San Francisco back in March. Art and tech colliding in incredible shapes and sounds. But I never got around to posting about it. Lots of fun stuff. Unfortunately I couldn’t take photos of the remarkable David Bowie recreation by Barney Clay using vintage video footage of 70’s Bowie singing “Life on Mars” shot by Mick Rock. Fortunately there’s the video featurette below which gives a glimpse (at the end) of the video and a lot of background on the project:

Just in case you hadn’t heard The Princess Bride Live, the ridiculously successful small theater show that I’m in in San Francisco right now, added 3 performances. Thursday-Saturday on Labor Day weekend.
All advance tickets are ALREADY sold out for the 3 added performances (as well as this weekend’s 3 shows which were in the original run). But you can queue up like an hour before the show as there will always be a few seats night of. But there’s a lot of people lining up for those. Get there early. No, earlier than that, if you want to get in.
If have tickets sit as close to the stage as you can cuz… it’s more fun there.
