How appropriate for The Long Now Foundation’s 10,000 year clock to be written up in Time Magazine. The Clock is featured as one of the 50 best inventions of the year. Congrats to all at Long Now on this recognition of what has been more than a decade of work that will hopefully be impactful for millenia.
Of course I’m biased, my partner Danielle works there. She produces their seminar series (amongst other things). There are two fantastic seminars coming up in the next couple weeks. You should attend the Brewster Kahle seminar this Wednesday if you can (the Rick Prelinger one on 12/8 is already sold out). Brewster runs The Internet Archive which is incredible in its own right.
