Hell yeah. Photo: “Whipped Cream and Other Delights” (1965) album cover model Dolores Erickson holding a copy of the LP today. Via midcenturymodernfreak:
Dolores Erickson, 76, was once the object of many teen desires. She adorned the album cover of Herb Alpert’s “Whipped Cream & Other Delights” in 1965. Who cares if it was just shaving cream?

The great Christopher Lee as Duc de Richleau in The Devil Rides Out (1968), one of Lee’s favorite films. He has performed in more film roles than anyone in history: 275 since 1946. Including such classic film series as the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, not to mention Police Academy. Oops. Did I mention it? He also played Dracula about a dozen times. He is the best. Here’s my laughingsquid post from yesterday featuring a clip of the game show Price Is Right on New Years in 1962 where people can really win a New Ice Cream Truck! There’s a vintage Newport cigarettes ad in there, too. Fun video.

A second cartoon chase scene cover of yesteryear. Really. This 1962 illustration by sports cartoonist Kevin Weil (who died earlier this year) one of many program covers he drew for the Buffalo Bills football team over the years. This one for the game against Oakland Raiders on 10/20/1962. Via mudwerks & Mike Lynch Cartoons: Kevin Weil 1933-2012
